Delivery & Returns Policy

General Delivery Information

For the purpose of our delivery scheme, the mainland UK is classed by us as England, Wales, mainland Scotland, and Ireland. This excludes Scottish highlands and islands, the isle of man, jersey, and guernsey as well as Northern Island.

We reserve the right to cancel any orders placed for delivery outside Mainland UK.

We reserve the right to charge additional delivery for oversize or heavy items where there has been an error or omission on the website.
 

Local delivery 

We offer FREE local delivery on order values of £50 or over.
For order values below £50, we do charge £14.95.

Local delivery contains orders to the following postcodes:
WV1, WV2, WV3, WV4, WV5, WV6, WV7, WV8, WV9, WV10, WV11, WV12, WV13, WV14, WV15, ST19, TF10, TF11, DY3 .
 

UK Mainland delivery (excluding Scottish highlands and islands)

The delivery costs for a UK mainland delivery vary depending on the order value: 

  • Order value above £500 = FREE delivery
  • Order value £100 - £400 = £19.95
  • Order value £0 - £100     = £9.95

Please note that plant and Growing Media (compost, stone) are excluded from outside the local area for delivery.

International Delivery

Sorry, but we do not currently ship outside the mainland UK.

Full Pallet Deliveries (Fuel and Compost)

Deliveries are all day weekdays.

We send our orders using a third-party haulage..  Prior to the delivery they usually contact you, as long as you have left a contact number, to advise when they can deliver. They use a truck which has a tail lift on the back, once the pallet is lowered the goods are manoeuvred to the kerb side at the front of the property using a pump truck.

Deliveries can be moved onto the driveway if it is a flat concrete / tarmac surface with no slope. This is at the driver’s discretion on the delivery day and whether they deem it safe for them to do so.

We understand not all of our customers live on main roads and access to the property can be difficult.

Click & Collect

Click & collect is available where indicated. Simply add the item to your basket by selecting the option 'pick up the order at the garden centre' at the checkout and proceed as normal. You will receive a confirmation email saying your order has been placed.

When your item is ready for collection you will receive another email stating “Your order is now ready for collection”. Please bring a copy of your order confirmation or order number and ID with you when collecting.
 

Returns Policy

Returning an item

Should you wish to return an item where you have purchased Goods or Services from Us as a Consumer (i.e. for private use as opposed to business use) you are entitled to cancel your contract completed with us within fourteen (14) days from the day after you received the goods or services and receive a refund.

To return or cancel your Goods ordered online and to receive a refund you must notify us first. You can notify us by the following means:

  • By telephone: 01902 842461 (Opening hours: Monday to Saturday 9am to 6pm and Sunday 10am to 4pm excluding Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day and Easter Sunday) calls are charged at your UK standard providers rate;
  • By post: Codsall & Wergs Garden Centre, Wergs hall Road, Codsall, Wolverhampton, WV8 2HJ.

For goods that are damaged, faulty, or not fit for purpose, you must notify us in accordance with the methods described above within the following timescales:

  • For Goods that have arrived with damage caused by the Courier, You must notify us within 24 hours from the date of receiving delivery.
  • For Goods that are faulty or not fit for purpose, You must notify us within 30 days from the date of receiving delivery.

In the event that a fault or defect becomes apparent after 28 days from the date you received the Goods, the Goods may be subject to the Suppliers warranty which may allow for a warranty against faults and defects beyond this period. We shall endeavour to include all applicable information on Supplier warranties with the delivery of your Goods but please Contact Us if you have not received any information on any applicable Supplier warranties for Your Goods.
